The term ‘takers’ was used by author Daniel Quinn to describe invading civilizations, who forced assimilation onto conquered peoples. He also insisted that there is no one-right-way for people to live, meaning that globalization, a world of forced labor, and everything having a price tag, was precisely the way of the Taker. Today the rich, as well as those stupid enough to vote for the rich’s self interest, now use the term ‘taker’ to mean those moochers who live off of welfare after having had everything ripped away from them by unfair fiscal inequality and the bad policies that have caused it. Ironic, when the red states are the highest welfare accepting states of all. But why let facts stand in your way of bashing the poor even more?
